Upgrade Southern Cross Drive Intersections Into Page, Scullin And Florey

Update

My petition has now closed, having received a great response which highlighted the clear community support for improvements.

I am pleased that the Federal Government has announced it will spend $1.8 million on improving safety on Southern Cross Drive. The announced improvements will include traffic lights at the intersections with Ross Smith Crescent and Chewings Street and I look forward to seeing the detailed design of the upgrades.

More in the Canberra Times here.

UPGRADE SOUTHERN CROSS DRIVE INTERSECTIONS INTO PAGE, SCULLIN AND FLOREY

Getting in and out of Page, Scullin and Florey off Southern Cross Drive can be challenging. These intersections have poor visibility with a very high traffic volume.  Investing in upgrades, including traffic lights, will make this stretch of road safer for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists.

Please join me in showing your support for safer intersections on this stretch of road by signing this petition.

Please feel free to share your experience of why we need this investment in the comments.
