✅ Delivered on Green waste bins

✅ Kerbside bulky waste pick-up

✅ More bins throughout the electorate, including

  • 35 recycling bins
  • Dog waste bag dispensers and bins at Palmerville Heritage Park and Lake Ginninderra dog park

✅ Local shops upgrades at Dunlop, Fraser, Macquarie, Melba and Spence 

✅ Installed free wi-fi to Kippax, Hawker and Jamison shops and Belconnen Basketball Centre (following my petition)

✅ Opened a new and expanded Access Canberra Service Centre for Belconnen

✅ Expanded online services available through Access Canberra meaning you only need to attend a Service Centre in person if you need new number plates or a photo to be taken

✅ Implemented e-conveyancing, making digital property transactions possible

✅ Water sensitive urban design trial for more and healthier trees in the Jamison car park (planted early 2021)

✅ Improved the Fix My Street platform

I’m working on

✅ Upgrading Evatt shops (including a new toilet) and delivering the next stages of upgrades at Kippax and Charnwood shops

✅ Expanding the Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) waste collection trial in Belconnen, Bruce, Cook and Macquarie commenced to include an additional 1,150 units within multi-unit developments

✅ Delivering a New Recycling Facility for Canberra and a new large-scale FOGO Facility that will allow the expansion of FOGO collection to all households in Canberra

✅ Continuing to modernise and uplift our City Services fleet and facilities to deliver better, more proactive mowing, horticulture, and maintenance services

✅ Trialling a free suburb-wide kerbside bulky waste collection in 20 suburbs, in conjunction with 'Second Hand Sunday' community events

✅ Providing the option for households to request a larger 3060L green bin, similar to those options already available for red and yellow bins.
