As the newly appointed Attorney-General, I'm working on

✅ Supporting an expansion of restorative justice accessibility criteria and seeking to support the establishment of community-based restorative practice in the ACT

✅ Trialling electronic monitoring for domestic and family violence perpetrators

✅ Exploring international evidence-based programs that specifically target recidivist offending, with the view to implementing a pilot in the ACT

✅ Amending the Evidence Act 2011 to limit access to sensitive evidence

✅ Looking at legislating mandated timeframes for witnesses to receive relevant information about a case before the court

✅ Continuing to educate around coercive control and working with stakeholders towards criminalising coercive control

✅ Considering expanding the legal definition of what it means for a protection order needing to be "personally served" on a respondent
